REMOTELY OPERATED VEHICLE
The DRF-SELECT 7000 range of remotely operated vehicles (ROV) cover a distance of 0.5-1km at a speed from 50-80m/min. Each vehicle is highly manoeuvrable, can climb steps and traverse other hazardous terrains making it a ’versatile’ unit for military, anti-terrorist and emergency service platforms. The DRF-SELECT 7000 range of ROVs can be used with a flat platform or a robotic arm, as shown in the photograph, i.e. the robotic arm and other payloads are easily detachable.

The ROVs can carry most client payloads.
The DRF-SELECT 7000 is the largest ROV, with the robotic arm fitted, will fit into a car boot and is useful for quick deployment. The same ROV is available with a flat platform carrying cameras, lights and a hailer. The Manpack fits into a backpack and is suitable for foot patrollers.
The UHF controller is a small handheld box with toggle switches and speed control knob. A small attaché case houses the LCD monitor plus the controller’s 12V battery and receiver. Other payloads available offer IPTV radio links, optical links, IR thermal cameras, chemical sniffers, distracters, bomb and telephone jammers, grippers, smoke modules, and a range of end of arm attachments etc.
The economic range of unmanned ROVs are designed for those forces who may have to respond quickly and want a ROV which can be transported in the boot of a car on in a Manpack. The ROV can save lives by entering dangerous areas sensing chemical threats, jamming bombs, surveying inside buildings, and exploring tunnels remotely.
